The public will be able to access the beach at all times and CEG is committed to providing this ongoing facility.
However, visitors should be aware that our car park is at the top of the cliff, and access to the beach is either via a set of steps or a fairly steep access road. Unfortunately we cannot allow members of the public to drive down to the beach. If you have limited mobility, please check the access routes before walking down to the beach. Like many beaches in Cornwall, accessibility to the site is restricted by the landscape.
On large event days (such as the open air cinema and Miracle Theatre), increased staffing levels usually allow for the safe provision of parking at beach level (free for blue badge holders), and we’ll do whatever we can to assist with disabled access.
During construction, access routes will be affected by construction activity and will change from time to time, ensuring that a safe passage is always available for public use.
We will apply to Cornwall Council for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (TTRO) in order to make alterations to a Public Right of Way. Any changes including temporary diversions will be posted on this website under Latest News.
